Tips and tricks for preserving apples. Fall is our favorite time of the year. We enjoy warm days and cooler evenings, watch the leaves turn and take a bite of our first crisp, juicy and delicious apple of the season. What are the best ways to preserve apples?
October Gold Cider
2020 looks to be a great year for our October Gold Cider despite the spring freeze that reaked havock on several varieties, such as Honey Crisp, Red Delicious and Fuji. We still have enough sweet varieties to make our mix for cider absolutely delicious! Available at Kercher’s Farm Market in half gallons, gallons or apple sipper cups (for the kids or kids at heart). You may also purchase our cider at Martins Supermarkets.
For those not lucky enough to find morels out their backdoor, Kercher’s Farm Market has a good supply. The season is from the Middle of April – End of May (season varies with weather). Pricing is based on a per/lb. price which varies over the course of the season. If you find more than you can eat, we do purchase morels.
